Having just tried on all of Abercrombie’s jeans for Jeans Month, I can tell you that its denim is not to be overlooked — I’m eyeing the barrel jean and baggy bootcut myself — but also that you can’t go wrong with the brand’s cozy crewnecks or basic tees. There’s an abundance of springy dresses, sharp-looking trench coats, and actually good going-out tops, too. And here’s some especially great news: From now until March 31, the brand is offering 25 percent off everything — plus an extra 15 percent off with the code SPRINGAF. Abercrombie is one of those brands that’s often having a sale, but it’s less common to see discounts this steep. So I dug through the entire site to find the best deals on things we’ve recommended before, along with any pieces that caught my eye, all of which you’ll find here.
Women’s clothing and accessories
My first jeans recommendation is for the low-rise enthusiasts and cool teens (or those who want to emulate them). I own these in the Curve Love version, which adds two inches at the waist and the thighs to avoid waist gaps. As someone who was once a low-rise skeptic, I must say that these are surprisingly comfortable. (So much so that I once took a nap in them.)
As I mentioned, I recently spent three hours trying on as many pairs of Abercrombie jeans as I could. While I was at the store, I learned that the High Rise ’90s Relaxed jeans are the brand’s best-selling style.
Since my try-on session, I’ve had a hard time shaking this pair from my wish list. While I think this classic blue jean is a more realistic addition to my wardrobe, a bold cow-print version is also on sale.
If you — like me — are on the fence about barrel jeans, these are an approachable option.
And if you’re looking for something to wear under the jeans, try this bodysuit, which I’ve heard many post-grads praise as an officewear staple.
Here’s the baby-tee version if you’re looking to refresh your white-T-shirt collection.
We’re approaching trench-coat season, and this one is just about as classic as it gets. Not only is the price right, but it’s made of water-resistant fabric — a nonnegotiable, according to our trench expert Brenley Goertzen.
Feels like Alexa Chung for Madewell — for (much) less.
I’m itching to take my sundresses out of storage, and this flowy, stretchy red number isn’t helping.
Many a Strategist staffer has been hunting for the elusive grown-up Going Out Top — something that’s flirty, not too showy. This one is a good contender.
This bodysuit is giving Regina George in that scene.
Finally, some butter yellow I can get behind.
Men’s clothing and accessories
Moving to the men’s section, you’ll find this cozy crewneck that’s just as good for winter layering as it is for cool summer nights. When I interviewed stylish men about their favorite crewnecks, this one was a favorite for its durability and coziness.
Pack this one in your carry-on for your next beach vacation.
Speaking of beach vacation, here’s a linen version that feels right out of The White Lotus.
It’s my belief that when it comes to T-shirts, the more the merrier. This three-pack includes all the essentials: black, white, and denim blue.
Rugby shirts came up again and again when I chatted with stylish folks about striped tees. I’m into this cozy one that’s fitted with a denim color and asymmetrical stripes.
As Strategist contributor Erika Veurink writes in our guide to ties, “Just as easily as an understated silk number can pull together a look, a bad tie (hello, piano keys) can ruin an otherwise decent fit.” This silk tie looks like a decidedly reliable bet.
Yes, this isn’t for humans, but I was delighted to find this pet popover in the men’s section. It feels like I see a dachshund in an animal-print sweater at least once a week now, and I’m not complaining.
