Everything Is On Sale at Fenty Beauty

March is winding down, which means one thing to me: the Fenty Fam Sale is here. Every spring, Rihanna’s beauty line takes 25 percent off its entire site and up to 60 percent off select items. This year, you also get a three-piece gift set on orders of $75 or more. Since it can be difficult to know what deals are actually worth taking advantage of during a sitewide sale, I’m here with some Strategist shopping advice. Everything below is something we’ve written about before, and much of it comes recommended — and tested — by our beauty columnist Rio Viera-Newton. Some deals that caught my eye include 50 percent off Viera-Newton’s favorite eyeliner and a Luscious lip balm that you can wear all day. The sale runs all weekend and ends Monday, March 24. I’m a noted proponent of the viral Butta Drop body butter. I picked up a tub last year and was an immediate fan of its long-lasting fragrance and thick consistency. It’s made with seven oils, so it’s incredibly nourishing, and the shimmer version gives my skin a soft glow.

“If I know my photo will be taken, I’ll be wearing this foundation,” Viera-Newton told us back in 2019. It’s on the thicker side, for foundation, but Viera-Newton says it’s worth it. “You will look flawless if you have this foundation on.” It comes in 50 shades, so you can match your skin perfectly.

This pore-refining toner-serum hybrid provides instant glow and “does everything from shrink pores to brighten skin,” writes Strategist beauty writer Tembe Denton-Hurst. She recommends it to anyone hoping to build a Black-owned skin-care routine.

For a rich lip balm that can double as a gloss, Denton-Hurst recommends Rihanna’s Luscious lip balm, which is still available in two shades — Pinch Me, a deep rouge, and Latte Lips, a burnt salmon. Along with providing moisture through rich ingredients, such as shea butter, the lip balm isn’t greasy, making it “ideal for wearing all day and reapplying throughout,” Denton-Hurst says.

This moisturizer-sunscreen hybrid is Viera-Newton’s favorite product in Rihanna’s skin-care line because “it’s a lightweight chemical sunscreen that leaves no white cast behind.” The best part? It’s refillable — “When your product is done, pop out the empty pump cartridge, and slide in your new one.”

Denton-Hurst named this the best tinted moisturizer with coverage because it “has more of a semi-matte finish and the formula is buildable to provide medium coverage.” This is for someone “looking for something lightweight but with more of a foundation look,” she says.

To put this red lip to the test, Viera-Newton wore it through four courses of a Mediterranean-food buffet and two-and-a-half glasses of wine. To her surprise, “It was just as bright, and hadn’t worn at all in the center of my lips.” She says that she was still able to remove it using only two Bioderma-soaked cotton pads.

If you like a glassy lip, check out Fenty’s Lip Luminizer, which Viera-Newton likes because “it’s a high-impact gloss with minimal stick.” She keeps one in every one of her purses.

Viera-Newton’s favorite eyeliner stays put and comes in brown or black.

If you prefer pencil over liquid eyeliner, Fenty’s Flypencils are also long lasting. Viera-Newton reports that “they easily glide across your lids, imparting a beautiful high pigment.”

Viera-Newton uses this two-toned metallic highlighter for her going-out eye shadow and says it “has single-handedly made getting glam before going out the easiest it’s ever been.”

The blendable formula of this bronzer makes it easy to add a little warmth all over your face or achieve a more chiseled contour, says Viera-Newton. It comes in seven shades.

Viera-Newton likes that Fenty’s contour stick is subtle — “so subtle, in fact, that when I first tried it out on my skin, I wasn’t sure it had even done anything,” she says. “But the more I stared at myself in the mirror, I realized that my cheekbones looked incredibly high, and the product had added all this dimension and lift to my skin that it didn’t have before.”

One of our favorite pigmented cream blushes, Cheeks Out has “a high-impact finish,” so you don’t need much to have an effect. “I love that I can apply it lightly for a slight, sunny drop of color or build it up for a super blown-out, editorial blush look,” makeup artist Karol Rodriguez says.

Viera-Newton loves this concealer not just for its full coverage and seamless color matching (it comes in 50 shades) but also because its formula “truly does not budge.”
